Lumber baron George Kelley (or Kelley) built this 12 room Italianate/Queen Anne mansion in 1893. After a  1906 fire, the house was rebuilt, adding a large asymmetrical front porch  characteristic of Queen Anne architecture. The porch appears on the 1919 Sanford Fire Map.
